Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Dades Gorge
We’ll start our adventure by meeting you in Marrakech and embarking on a scenic drive to Ouarzazate, traversing the dramatic Tizi n’Tichka pass (2260m) that winds through the High Atlas Mountains. Along the way, take in the breathtaking beauty of the landscape dotted with traditional Berber villages.
Our first stop is the renowned Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, the largest Kasbah in Morocco and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Explore this historic marvel, once a matrimonial home for many members of the Glaoui family. We’ll enjoy a delightful lunch by the Kasbah before continuing our journey to Dades Gorge via Ouarzazate, famously known as “the Hollywood of Africa.”
As we venture onwards through the “Road of the Thousand Kasbahs,” marvel at the fascinating sand castles that adorn the landscape. Our next stop is Kalaat Mgouna, also known as “the rose city,” celebrated for its roses and hosting an annual festival during the rose harvest in May.
Finally, we’ll arrive at our hotel, Hotel Xalucadades, perched atop the Dades Valley, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Enjoy a relaxing evening with dinner and a comfortable overnight stay, with breakfast provided to start your day off right tomorrow. Day 2: Dades Gorge – Todra Gorge – Merzouga
After savoring a hearty breakfast at the hotel, your day of exploration begins with a visit to the village of the blacks, originally home to slaves from Sudan, where you’ll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in their vibrant music and lifestyle. Nearby lies the enchanting Lake of Merzouga, home to a diverse array of bird species, including graceful flamingos.
You may also choose to visit the nomad wire house, a treasure trove of Berber handicrafts offered at prices lower than those found in larger cities. In the afternoon, prepare for an unforgettable adventure as you mount your camel, guided by an experienced camel man, and set off to explore the mystical sand-sea of the Erg Chebbi.
As the sun sets over the vast desert landscape, you’ll have the option to spend the night under a blanket of stars or in a traditional Berber nomad tent, immersing yourself fully in the magic of the Sahara. Dinner will be served in the tent, where you’ll enjoy a delicious meal before drifting off to sleep amidst the tranquility of the desert. Day 3: Merzouga (Erg Chebbi) and Camel Trek
Following a delightful breakfast at the hotel, embark on an immersive journey through the area, starting with a visit to the village of the blacks, originally inhabited by slaves from Sudan. Immerse yourself in their rich culture, music, and lifestyle, gaining insight into their fascinating heritage.
Nearby, discover the tranquil beauty of the Merzouga Lake, home to a variety of bird species, including the majestic flamingos. You may also choose to explore the nomad wire house, where you’ll find an array of Berber handicrafts at prices lower than those in larger cities.
In the afternoon, prepare for an enchanting adventure as you mount your camel, guided by an experienced Camel man, and venture into the mysterious sand-sea of the Erg Chebbi. As the sun begins to set, you’ll have the option to spend your first night under the twinkling stars of the desert sky or in a traditional Berber nomad tent, immersing yourself in the magic of the Sahara.

Day 4: Merzouga – Rissani – Ziz Valley – Errachidia
Rise and shine to greet the early morning as your camel guide gently rouses you to witness what may very well be the most spectacular sunrise of your life. With the sky painted in hues of gold and orange, you’ll be mesmerized by the breathtaking beauty of the desert landscape.
Afterwards, embark on a serene camel trek back to your Riad in Merzouga, where a delicious breakfast awaits. Energized and ready for the day ahead, we’ll set off for Errachidia, journeying through the charming towns of Risani and Erfoud along the way.
In Risani, immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of the authentic Souk, brimming with an array of goods including fresh vegetables, aromatic spices, succulent dates, and much more. Witness the bustling activity of hooded men and veiled women engaged in lively conversations, offering a glimpse into the rich cultural tapestry of Morocco.
Continuing our journey, we’ll traverse the magnificent Ziz Valley, marveling at its lush landscapes and panoramic vistas. Pause for a moment to soak in the breathtaking views of the Ziz Canyon before arriving at our hotel, Auberge Tinit, where you’ll enjoy a comfortable overnight stay. Dinner, bed, and breakfast (DBB) are included, ensuring a delightful end to an enriching day of exploration.
Day 5: Errachidia – Tizi Ntalghamt Pass – Midalt – Azrou – Fes
Following a satisfying breakfast at your hotel, embark on a scenic journey to Fes via Midelt and Ifrane, traversing some of Morocco’s most captivating landscapes.
As we make our way through the picturesque Ziz Gorges, carved delicately through volcanic rock, you’ll be enchanted by the raw beauty of the surroundings. Our route takes us through the Tizi Ntalghamt Pass to Midelt, where we’ll pause in Zaida to indulge in a delightful barbecue feast paired with refreshing mint tea.
Continuing our adventure, we’ll journey onward to Azrou, a charming Berber village nestled in the Middle Atlas Mountains. Here, we’ll have the opportunity to encounter the famous Barbary apes in the enchanting Cedar forest, a truly memorable experience.
Our next stop takes us to Ifrane, affectionately known as “the French village,” where you can capture picturesque moments or enjoy a leisurely drink amidst the quaint surroundings. Finally, we’ll conclude our journey as we arrive at your accommodation in Fes, marking the end of our unforgettable tour.
